Brief: To design a brooch that would stand the test of time and become an heirloom - specifically for a niece's 21st birthday.
Basically I had a free hand in this unusual design. I had to somehow include the letter "M" in the design and this can be seen going sideways at bottom centre. The heart shaped stone is a collectors' item - a Russian Uvarovite Garnet Druzy with great sparkle and a lovely green colour to the crystals. The round stone to the left is an Emerald. The photo doesn't do the piece justice - it really was a 3 dimensional design made entirely from sterling silver with the added twist that the brooch could also be worn as a pendant.

I received your beautiful earrings in the mail today and I have to tell you how much I love them! Sometimes it can be difficult to tell from a photo but they are even more beautiful then I thought they'd be. They have such a clean clear energy about them. You really know the stones don't you, its marvellous to know somebody is so aware of the character and the philosophy behind the stones used and it is especially important for the person who makes the piece. I would imagine, the jewellery you make for people fills them with warmth and affection, as your energies are transferred onto each piece you make and your energy harmonises with that of the stone.
